Kindrochet Lodge
Kindrochet Lodge is in a secluded position just outside the village of Calvine, some 4 miles from Blair Atholl, just above the River Errochty. It has recently been refurbished to a high standard and can accomodate up to 13 people.
There are six sporting beats on the estate. Between them, they provide a mixture of sporting opportunities to satisfy all tastes. ACCOMMODATION The accommodation comprises 5 twin rooms and 3 doubles, 5 of which have en-suite facilities, sitting room, drawing room, kitchen, utility room, gun room. Guests can enjoy the grounds from the sunny patio leading onto a spacious garden. FISHING Salmon fishing is available on the rivers Garry, Tummel and Tilt. Although usually let by the week, single daily lets can be arranged, particularly on the River Tilt. Together, these fishings provide an excellent contrast of water and scenery ranging from the calmer stretches of the lower Tummel to the dramatic spate waters of the Tilt. Each beat can accommodate up to three rods. A ghillie is available subject to an additional charge. Wild brown trout fishing is available on Loch Broom, a remote and tranquil hill loch located to the west of Pitlochry. A 4x4 vehicle is required for access. A boat is provided. STALKING Atholl has long been known for the quality of its red stag stalking. Stalking for hinds, roe and fallow deer is also available. Ponies are used in the traditional manner to retrieve deer from the hills whenever possible. All stalking guests are accompanied by a professional stalker. Walked-up red grouse and ptarmigan shooting is available on the higher moorland beats of the estate and is usually let as part of a package along with accommodation. Parties can be accommodated during November and December for rough game or driven pheasant shooting amongst the woods and farmland of the lower ground of the estate. |
